Students will research chatbots and the reasons why they seem so friendly and human.
A chatbot can sound friendly because it is designed to respond in human-like language. It may remember details, give compliments, or be available whenever someone wants to talk. Those features can feel comforting. But sounding caring is not the same as caring.
A chatbot may be a useful tool for brainstorming, practicing a conversation, or finding ideas. For important feelings, safety concerns, or difficult decisions, people need trusted humans such as family members, teachers, counselors, or friends.
