Curriculum-Based Lessons

We create structured media literacy lessons that teachers can bring directly into the classroom. Each lesson is designed around clear learning goals, discussion questions, activities, and student-friendly explanations. Our curriculum helps students build foundational skills in journalism, source evaluation, information reliability, framing, algorithms, statistics, images, propaganda, free speech, and more.

Real News-Based Learning

VerityEd lessons are grounded in real-world news and current media examples. Instead of teaching media literacy in isolation, we help students practice with the kinds of stories, posts, headlines, images, and claims they actually encounter. Students learn to ask: Who made this? What evidence supports it? What context is missing? How is this framed? What might different audiences see differently.

Blog

We also share behind-the-scenes looks at how media, journalism, and education come together. From how a lesson is created to how journalists verify information, these features help students see the process behind the final product — and understand that trustworthy information does not appear by accident. It is researched, checked, edited, questioned, and refined.
